HIP HOP

Hip-hop dance refers to the dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. Like most dance schools, Performing Arts Studio covers a commericial, studio-based version of hip-hop referred to as 'New Style'. Classically trained dancers developed this studio style and because of this development, hip-hop dance may be practiced in dance studios. What distinguishes hip-hop from other forms of dance is that it is often "frestyle" or improvisational. Dancers are encouraged to be creative and exercise their individual expressions.

Class Levels: Kids & Teens (INT-ADV)
